From pixels to people—
my journey from graphic design to UX
Since graduating in 2005, I’ve been dedicated to digital and graphic design with a focus on interaction. I started as a Flash interactive designer, collaborating closely with developers and growing my skills across branding and web.
In 2013, I worked in Dublin as a web and digital designer, focusing on responsive web design. A year later, I co-created the Sign Language Alphabet Ireland app, which won a Silver Appy Award in 2015. This project sparked my passion for app design and the power of technology in learning.
To deepen my UX skills, I completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate in 2022 and the UX Design Institute Professional Diploma in 2023. These gave me hands-on training in accessibility, usability studies, Figma prototyping, and industry best practices.
Currently, I work as a graphic designer for an international company in Galway. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new cities, cooking, baking, and learning piano alongside my 6-year-old.
